Honolulu Habitat for Humanity will be holding their 8th Annual Build-a-Thon this Thursday August 11th through Saturday August 13th. The Build-a-Thon is a public awareness and fund raising event on behalf of Honolulu Habitat for Humanity. The Build-a-thon provides an opportunity for Habitat supporters to raise money and help build homes with people in need. Volunteers are needed for both morning and afternoon shifts at both job sites.

Fuller Family Build Site, Waimanalo, Naone-Bailey Family Build Site, Papakolea
What is a Build-a-thon?
The Honolulu Habitat for Humanity Build-a-Thon is a public awareness and fund raising event that provides an opportunity for Habitat supporters to raise money and help build homes with people in need.
Where does the money go?
All funds generated by Build-a-Thon will remain on Oahu and will support Honolulu Habitat’s efforts to eliminate substandard housing.
Do I need experience?
No, volunteers do not need to have any building skills. A Site Supervisor will provide training and assistance to volunteer builders and participants.
What do I need to bring?
You must wear closed-toe shoes. Shorts or long pants are acceptable attire for the site. Please bring a pair of work gloves, a hat, sun block, and a bottle to drink water.
What will I be provided with?
Lunch, beverages and a Build-a-thon t-shirt will be provided to each volunteer.
